Soni moots plan to boost tourism in Arunachal

While New Delhi plans to showcase treasure trove of Arunachal as a global tourist hotspot, Union Tourism and Culture Minister Ambika Soni inaugurated the second Siang River Festival at Tuting, near China border, by lighting lamps.In her inaugural address, Soni while trying to give a concrete plan for future development of the tourism in the State, proposed to set up a hotel management institution. “We need good hotels and motels and for that we need trained manpower for development of tourism”, she said.Enchanted by the natural beauty of the State, she said, “we have to take some actions so that film industries in Bollywood and Hollywood do some shooting in the State.”

In his address, Apang said, tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy world wide. Even in India it is becoming one of the fastest growing industries.
Earlier, Soni laid the foundation stone for a tourism complex at Tuting. She also visited Rissing village.
