Meena assures on Green Bonus proposal

Union Minister of State for Finance N N Meena has assured to look into the proposal of providing Green Bonus to Arunachal Pradesh as submitted by Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu.
The minister gave his assurance to Lok Sabha MP from the state Takam Sanjoy. Sanjoy met Meena along with state president of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Padi Richo,

They discussed in detail the Green Bonus pending with the PMO and Finance Ministry, submitted by the committee constituted by the Prime Minister on the persistent request of Khandu.
The Minister also assured to work in tandem with the PMO for considering the proposal at the earliest, sources said. If approved, the state government would be able to release the remaining 30 months arrears under the sixth Pay Commission, which was implemented in the state in January.
The package, if approved, would be placed as Untied Fund, sources added. Sanjoy also congratulated the minister for bringing tribal rights to the fore in Parliament for the interest of tribal people of the country.
