Bru ultras apologise to Mizos

After signing a peace pact with the Mizoram Government, the Bru National Liberation Front has begun healing the injuries it has inflicted upon the people of Mizoram.

The Bru outfit has vowed to set the records straight for several complaints they have put forward against the Mizo community and the wrong information they have given to the medias.

“We have accused the Mizos of burning our temples and raping our women, the allegations were all made up to disrepute the Mizo community, we apologise for all the wrongs we have inflicted,” Solomon Proful Ushoy, general secretary of the BNLF said in a statement.

“The BNLF has wrongly informed the national media and framed several charges against the Mizos which were totally wide of the mark, now that peace has been accorded, it is a wise thing for them to apologise and make amends,” C Lalrokhuma, president of the Mizo Zirlai Pawl said.

The Bru National Liberation Front made it clear that they would do everything the can to repeal the petition they have lodged against the Mizos in the Supreme Court. Leaders of the former insurgent group also met with the largest Mizo NGO of the state, the YMA. They appealed to the organization for a better understanding between the two communities in future.
