The Mega Entertainment group has been successfully organising the Mega Miss NE pageant successfully for the last 4 years but the main man who has conceptualised the whole event is an upcoming fashion designer of Assam and the NE, Abhijeet Singha. This young designer is now rapidly climbing the ladder, going places and taking big strides towards being counted a big time designer in the national level. Last year he shifted base to Mumbai and from then on there has been no stopping him. At the very beginning of this year, he did a string of successful shows with world famous multinational fragrance label, Christian Dior for launching its fragrance brands. The special shows were held at New Delhi, Kolkata , Bangalore and Mumbai where five models of the NE region also participated. Recently Abhijeet became the first designer from Assam to get an offer to design costumes for a Bollywood film starring Salman Khan , Naseeruddin Shah and Sushmita Sen. Abhijeet is very excited about this and considers it to be a dream come true. Much of Abhijeets exposure in Mumbai can be credited to the Gravity Media Pvt Ltd. which is managing his career . In fact Gravity Media will also take over the top 3 girls of the Mega Miss NE cutest this year for sessions in Mumbai to give them a foothold in big time glamour world. Abhijeet is also working with the Indian Television Academy for photo shoots. The worldwide popular Fashion TV has also given him an offer. FTV is interested to project the NE India and its upcoming fashion trends in its channel and wants a capable person to make this happen for them. They have zeroed in on Abhijeet, obviously impressed by his credentials. The offer has come directly from Paris and has been conveyed to Singha from the Hyderabad office of the channel. With lady luck on his side and proper management of his career, Abhijeet Singha is surely standing on the threshold of writing a great success story. He may now be in Mumbai most of the times to hone his skills and search for greener pastures but the love and feeling for his region still remains. Abhijeet's fabric of choice are 'eri' and 'muga' , with which he hopes to create modern garments modeled on the traditional designs of the Mising commuity of Assam. His main aim to organise the Mega Miss NE is to show the rest of the nation that here is a pageant that can match any big pageant organised anywhere in the country , launching girls who have in them to match any of their counterparts in mainland India. '' In these 4 years this pageant has grown so big that expectations are very high from it now. It has become more difficult for me now to completely detach myself from my actual work to organise this event every year. But I have almost fallen in love with it and through this event want to make a statement. So this event will not only continue but I'll strive to improve its quality even further.", said Abhijeet recen tly after the pageant in Guwahati. The Mega Miss NE is growing bigger and better and so is Abhijeet. This phenomenal growth is today closely watched by the whole of NE with huge expectation as well as pride.
