A seven-member Chinese delegation led by the Assistant Minister of Public Security, Chen Zhimin, called on Home Minister Shivraj Patil. During the meeting, Mr Patil and Mr Zhimin discussed enhancing cooperation on tackling terrorism, drug control, capacity building and other issues of mutual interests. The meeting also reviewed the progress on the MoU signed between the two country during Mr Patil’s visit to China in September, 2005. Other members of the Chinese delegation were Zhang Jian, Director General of Operational Technology, Eru Wethua, Deputy General of Internal Security Department, Zhang Jufeng, Deputy General of International Cooperation Department, Ge Bowei, Secretary, Internal Security, La Chuan, Deputy Director, Internal Security, and Zhou Zhaohui, Deputy Director, International Cooperation Department. Senior Home Ministry and MEA officials were also present at the meeting.
