Bhutan, Nepal keen to start flight from NE

Several international airlines have shown keen interest to start flight operations from the Region, says Assam Industries Minister Bhubaneswar Kalita. The Gogoi Government, he says, is in touch with Thai Air, Bangladesh Biman, Nepal Airline and Druk Air of Bhutan.  In fact, both Druk and Nepal Airline are interested in flying from Guwahati. The move by Air India to withdraw the flights has evoked a sharp reaction with all the eight Chief Ministers deciding to jointly petition the Prime Minister to press for continuance of the international flight.
