MANAGING director, Israel Corporation of Agricultural Applications (ICAA) Ltd, Motti Sharon visited Shillong and met Chief Minister Lapang for a discussion on the possibility to set up green houses to raise exotic crops under controlled conditions. This is expected to promote and encourage the local farmers to experiment with the effective technologies for production of crops like strawberries and capsicums which are in high demand worldwide. ICAA Ltd. is a specialist in this field.

Mr. Lapang asked ICAA Ltd to come up with a formal proposal for consideration and experimentation.
