The bullet-ridden body of a NSCN(K) official was recovered from Kuthur village of Tuensang district .Official sources said that the body of captain'' Wongto Yimchunger was recovered with seven bullet wounds on his neck and stomach. Yimchunger was reportedly the regional commander of NSCN K) in Yimchunger region.

Sources said the motive behind the killing of the official was not clear but it was suspected that he was killed by his own cadres
on suspicion of having a nexus with rival faction NSCN(IM).Meanwhile, situation in Tuensang district continued to be tense
as the armed cadres of both the factions of the NSCN were freely moving in several parts of the district.

The series of inter-factional clashes in Tuensang and Zunheboto districts of the state claimed over eight lives and injured several
others.
