Mizoram BJP flays Zoramthanga Govt The
BJP
has criticised the Zoramthanga Government for mismanaging the State’s
economy and finances. The Zoramthanga Government has virtually left no
funds for development of the poor, alleged the Mizoram unit of the BJP. “There
has been no fund meant for uplift of the poor farmers and daily-bread
earners after Rs. 48 crore out of Rs.
57 crore the State Government received as Central assistance per month was
disbursed towards payment of salaries of ministers, legislators and
Government employees,” said a resolution passed at the two-day State
Executive Council meeting of the State BJP unit. A mere Rs. 9 crore were
spent for other establishment expenses, the resolution claimed. The
resolution urged the Zoramthanga Government to buy ginger at Rs 10 per kg
from farmers and introduce crop insurance for them. The resolution praised
the BJP-led Government at the Centre in its efforts to help the kisans.
“Christianity and the country are safe in the hands of able leader like
Atal Behari Vajpayee,” it added. |
