Arunachal Assembly pay homage to Rao, Pabin

Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly paid tributes to former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao, and former state minister Tarung Pabin. The Assembly remembered the contributions of late Mr Rao and late Mr Pabin and mourned their sudden demise and observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect for the departed souls. Speaker Setong Sena while making obituary reference in respect of late Rao termed him as a great statesman and stated that his death was an irrepairable loss to the entire nation.

Referring to the contribution of late Tarung Pabin, Mr Sena termed him as a great leader of the state. Chief Minister Gegong Apang said that Rao was the engineer of modern India and was responsible for bringing economic liberalization and reforms in the nation. Mr Rao was a great leader with multi-faceted qualities and with his death the country had lost a great political stalwart. The Chief Minister while remembering late Tarung Pabin termed him as the architect of modern Arunachal. Opposition leader and BJP MLA Kameng Dolo while paying his tribute to both the departed leaders stated that with their death the country as well as the state had lost two great statesmen.

NCP legislator T Wangham, BJP MLA Bosiram Siram, AC member J K Pangging and Independent legislator R K Khrimey also joined the house in paying tribute to both the leaders.
