NSCN (K) raps Centre for Myanmar move

The NSCN (K) is suspecting Centre’s hands in the anti-NSCN drive launched by Myanmaries military forces in north-western part of Naga inhabited area of Myanmar. Confirming that Myanmarese junta had recently attempted to attack NSCN (K) camp in eastern Nagaland (Myanmar), where its supremo S. S. Khaplang was camped, Kilonser in-charge of public relations of the outfit Mr. Nihoto informed that the attempt was, however, foiled by its cadres stationed in the outposts surrounding the headquarters. Mr Nihoto also rubbished the reports appeared in a cross-section of the media that the junta had attempted twice on the life of its leader Mr Khaplang, and termed it as an attempt to confuse the Nagas. “The news report was the handiwork of Indian Intelligence to confuse the Naga people,” he alleged and assured that Mr Khaplang was very much safe and sound. The NSCN (K) headquarters in Myanmar was learned to be housing several cadres of other militant groups from the North-East region like the ULFA and also some Manipur-based outfits.

The kilonser said that it was also learnt that thousands of military junta had been recently moved into the north-western part of the country, in an apparent move for a major operation by the military junta against the ultras from the North-east region in Myanmar soil. The junta, he said, has been deployed at four posts in Naga villages in the north-western part of Myanmar.
