Rio’s call to Naga youths Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has exhorted the youths to emerge from their cocoons and look beyond the border of the State. Addressing the inaugural function of the five-day career conclave, the Chief Minister said Naga youths were talented and second to none but due to lack of exposure everything had taken a back seat. Reiterating his Government’s stand to solve rising unemployment, Mr Rio asserted that the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland Government was well aware of the problem and committed to tackling it. The conclave was organized to offer job opportunities to educated unemployed youths in different service industries, he said and added that unlike the Indian society having diverse classifications, Nagas respect any kind of job. Informing that executives from various corporate houses were set to arrive here for recruitment drive, the Chief Minister urged the youths to avail the opportunities to serve outside so that they could subsequently start their own business back home. About 500 youths were attending the conclave organized by the State Government and funded by the Chief Minister’s corpus fund. Tourism Minister Vatsu Meru also spoke on
the occasion. |
