Foreign link causes concern

Increasing foreign links of the underground groups active on Indian soil and the Maoist have became a major concern for the security agencies. Latest intelligence inputs indicate that Maoist groups active in India and Nepal along with some other outlawed outfits are in close touch and receiving training from dreaded LTTE and some French ultras.

It is realiably learnt that about 12 Maoist have already been trained by LTTE to carry on subversive activities. The Maoists are presently contemplating to form a suicide squad. Reports suggest that the Maoists have been able to establish a network corridor through India between Kathmandu and Jafna and Maharashtra and Bangladesh. Besides UP, Uttaranchal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and West Bengal, the Maoists had already set up bases in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerela. The foreign links came tolight when the recovered some documents
relating to the activities of the French Maoists from a hideout in West Bengal. The intelligence agencies also suspected that arms, ammunition and explosives to the ultras are being supplied by the foreign collaborators.
