A week after the arrest of Fulstar Rani, the general secretary of the finance wing of the Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC), Meghalaya police achieved another success by nabbing his trusted accomplice   Paul Lyngdoh at Nongthymai.

Lyngdoh had managed to escape the police dragnet when Fulstar and three other HNLC ultras were arrested in a joint operation on June 7. Police recovered Rs 4.5 lakh, two foreign-made wireless sets, 25 rounds of 9 mm pistols, ammunition and many incriminating documents from Paul’s possession. DGP L Sailo said that with the arrests of the top leaders, the HNLC was now   left with no leader to head its finance wing
