Arunachal to make Niglok a industrial hub ARUNACHAL Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang has urged the people of the State to cooperate with the State Government to make Niglok in East Siang district an industrial hub. The Arunachal Chief Minister said that the Niglok area would become a major industrial hub and a centre of economic activities in the near future. He gave an assurance that with the completion of micro-hydel project in the district, power supply, besides road communication would improve. Efforts would be made to link the areas. Stressing on the development of agro-based farming, the Chief Minister appealed to the people of the area to take up modern scientific method of farming in different fields like agriculture, horticulture and medicinal plants, and urged the industry department personnel to guide and motivate the local people in taking up industrial activities as the area has vast potential for industrial growth. Mr. Apang said he would take up the issue of Niglok airport with the concerned authorities if sufficient and convenient land was available for the purpose. The Chief
Minsiter recently visited the industrial growth centre at Niglok along with
Deputy Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly N. Ering and Health and
Family Welfare Minister Dr T Tapa. It seems that the State Government is now
keen to implement Niglok project. |
