Sink difference, Naga ultras told

Apex tribal council Naga Hoho and Nagaland Christian Forum have appealed to the underground groups to cease immediately all forms of violence and reconcile themselves to create a conducive atmosphere so that Nagas can search for a settlement of their protracted political problem.

Naga Hoho, at its executive council meeting at Dimapur, had a detailed deliberation on the current spate of violence indulged in both factions of NSCN. Calling for cessation of hostilities, the meeting said, such armed confrontation would damage the progress made so far towards peace and re-conciliation process launched by NGOs and Churches on December 20 last and August 9, the  Naga National Prayer Day. Expressing serious concern over the recent spurt in factional fighting in different parts of the State, Christian Forum, in a statement, urged the warring groups not to take the Naga people towards a human disaster when the entire Naga society was yearning for peace and re-conciliation in the deeply divided Naga family.
