| Nipamacha Singh assured of territorial integrity Union Home Minister L. K. Advani had reportedly assured Manipur Chief Minister W. Nipamacha Singh that the territorial integrity of the State would not be compromised at any cost. The Chief Minister also sought a clarification from the Home Minister whether there exists an informal ceasefire between the Centre and NSCN (I-M) in Manipur. The Union Home Minister clarified that he had no knowledge of any informal ceasefire. Nipamacha Singh also discussed the issue of raising a third company of the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) at the earliest. In the said meeting the Chief Minister also explained to the Home Minister about the effective activities of the Manipur Police commandos and IRB personnel in their counter-insurgency operation in the State. He also informed the Union Minister that the personnel of 2nd battalion of IRB will complete training in February next year.
