Nation-wide awareness campaign by RSS

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has launched a national awareness campaign throughout the country for making the society powerful and integrated. RSS all India seva pramukh Suresh said that they were busy in ‘‘man-making and nation building’’ task and will try to educate the people during  their month-long awareness campaign. He said the RSS were working in almost all the districts of the country for the last 75 years, covering 50,000 villages but it is yet to take up its activities up to the desired level in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Mizoram.

He said now the Sangh was planning to set up sakhas (branches) in the States of the North-Eastern region to create awareness about  the national unity and integrity.

He said lakhs of Sangh workers throughout the country were working for popularising swadeshi, protection of environment and  indigenous swadeshi culture and customs. Swadeshi culture is being gradually overtaken by the western culture, he regretted, saying that the Sangha workers were busy educating people about the bad effects of westernisation of our culture.
He also stated that ISI activities have been increasing  throughout the country, specially in North-East and Jammu and Kashmir.

‘‘Evil designs of the ISI should be stopped, people should be educated and awareness created for the social reforms,’’ he said.
