ULFA chief calls for Mahanta's ouster

In a strange move ULFA chairman Arobinda Rajkhowa has asked all the AGP members to either quit the party or oust Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta.

The AGP might be a people's party, but its government no was no longer of the people claimed Mr. Rajkhowa. According to him, it is no longer responsible towards his people except for misappropriating the public fund, killing the innocent people and getting Assamese women raped by colonial forces.

In a statement he said, “since Mohanta will not step down himself, you should all desert the party or else you will have to unnecessarily repent for the sin he has committed.”

Regarding the letter to the Governor, which is reportedly written by Mr. Rajkhowa expressing his willingness for talks, the ULFA chief said a conspiracy had been hatched to bring about division in the ULFA.

What is interesting that though the ULFA chief has demanded Mr. Mahanta's ouster, he had not uttered a single word regarding holding talks .
