All details about militant camps in B'desh sent to Centre

The Tripura Government has furnished details of base camps being operated by militants in Bangladesh with the Union Government, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said.

Addressing a peace rally recently, Mr. Sarkar said that the State Government had given a full-fledged report to the Centre with exact details of 21 base camps being run by the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura and eight more by the All Tripura Tiger Force.

The Government is optimistic that the Centre will take appropriate action on the report, the Chief Minister said.

Meanwhile, the Tripura Left Front (LF) committee has urged the Union Home Ministry to take up with the Bangladesh Government the issue of flushing out militants suspected to be operating from that country.
