Manipur ministry reshuffled In a reshuffle of portfolios, the departments of four Cabinet ministers of Manipur were changed, according to a State Government notification. Health minister Morung Makunga has become the minister for transport and science and technology, while tourism minister V. Hangkhalian would now look after the health department. The Ministry of L. Tomba Singh, labour was changed to education (school), while transport minister Songchin-gkhup has been given the charge of social welfare and government press, the notification said. Fishery and Sericulture Minister N. Biren has been given additional charge of labour.General administration department minister N. Bihari Singh would look after rural development and panchayat raj in addition to his present department. Revenue minister E. Kunjeswar Singh has been given additional charges of weights and measures department while family welfare minister M. Babu Singh will also look after tourism and command area development department in addition to his present department. The lone minister of state (independent charge), Heshamuddin, who holds Loktak area development portfolio will also look after economics and minor irrigation department. |
