Ten persons suspected to be involved in lynching a detained policeman inside Mizoram’s Saiha district jail were arrested, Superintendent of Police Varchungnunga said.

Mr. Varchungnunga said that the ten people were reported to be responsible for lynching Havildar Anar Bahadur of second battalion Mizo Armed Police (MAP) inside the jail recently.

Mara Youth Association had organised a demonstration at Saiha and during the demonstration, the mob crashed open the jail gates and killed the detained policeman. Havildar Bahadur was arrested and lodged in Saiha district jail for shooting a civilian at Saiha.
