Relief for victims of militancy The Tripura Government has announced relief of Rs. 1000 to Rs. 15,000 to persons injured in violence by militants.This has been announced by Tripura Information Minister Jitendra Chowdhury. He said that the assistance for simple injury would be Rs. 1000. In case of serious injury, the district magistrates could grant up to Rs. 3000. If an injury leads to loss of any vital organ or limb then the district magistrates could grant up to Rs. 7500 and if the injury requires treatment outside the State, the revenue department could grant up to Rs. 15, 000, he added. This was finalised at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar recently.The cabinet also decided to set up the headquarters of the Fourth Tripura State Rifles battalion at Subhasnagar under Kanchanpur sub-division of North Tripura and of the sixth battalion of TSR at Purba Ramchandraghat under Khowai subdivision in West Tripura. The State Government had earlier taken decision to set up the Fifth Battalion of TSR headquarters in Amarpur under South Tripura district. The State Government has also approved the allotment of 0. 40 acres of land on lease basis to the deaf and dumb school at Kailashsahar in North Tripura and also 0. 41 acres of land in Sadar subdivision for setting up of an Electronics Test and Development Centre at Agartala. |
