Jamir urges for dispelling confusion about Naga talks

At the completion of his first year in office in his second successive term as the Chief Minister of Nagaland S. C. Jamir has urged all concerned in the on-going peace process to spell out their stands clearly across the table to dispel confusion from the minds of the people.

Talking about the ongoing peace process further, the Nagaland Chief Minister said although the Congress Government in the State was not directly involved in the peace process initiated by the Centre, it was in constant touch with various groups relentlessly working for bringing an end to the Naga political problem.

However, he expressed his discontent over the ongoing peace talk progress between the Centre and the underground leaders, saying “we have not heard anything concrete about the negotiations.”

He also alleged there were many violations of ceasefire ground rules.Mr. Jamir said his government had taken note of Kohima businessmen's demand.
