World Bank aid in Arunachal education sector sought

For the development of educational infrastructure in the State, the Arunachal Pradesh Government is contemplating to seek financial assistance from the World Bank to the tune of Rs. 50 crore. This has been informed by State's Education Minister Tako Dabi.

He further stated that the new State Government was working towards making Arunachal Pradesh a literate State and sought the cooperation of all concerned in achieving this goal.

“I am sure once the proposals agreed by the World Bank, it will help the new Government to fully gear up State's educational sector,” the Education Minister opined about his ambitious plan.
Identifying ignorance and illiteracy as the reasons for poverty and backwardness, Mr. Dabi had urged the teaching community to re-dedicate themselves with utmost dignity and sincerity in the service of backward Himalayan State. The Education Minister has also expressed his serious concern over the erosion of moral values and lack of quality in teaching. He called upon the teachers to serve for the cause of the students community in moulding their future.
