Marks fabrication in Manipur Varsity alleged The Manipuri Students' Federation has urged State Governor O. N. Srivastava and Chancellor of the Manipur University to look into the alleged gross misconduct by the examination controller of the said university in connivance with some teachers in fabricating marks of students in the Master of Arts examination. Alleging that a student of economics, who only got 51 per cent in his final examination was awarded 55 per cent, the powerful students' federation observed that such activities of the University authority strongly affect the moral of the students and demanded strigent action against the officials who are involved in marks fabrication. On the other hand, the National Students Union of India (NSUI) has demanded immediate resignation of the Deputy Chief Minister of the State, L. Chandramani Singh, for his reported involvement in the admission of some students in the MBBS courses. It is being alleged that Mr. Singh's daughter along with few other students were included in the list of the students admitted in the RIMS without any entrance examination. |
