The Mizoram Government will legislate four acts to systematised land tenure and revenue system in accordance with the Constitutional provision pertaining to Mizoram. These four acts would be Mizoram Public Demands Recovery Act, Tenancy and Government Land Settlement Act, Prevention of Land Encroachment Act and Survey and Settlement Act. This has been informed by State's Revenue and Settlement Minister Lalrinchhanna.

The Minister further informed that the State Government would ensure that all those who needed land for house sites and agricultural lands were provided and at the same time it would try to bring an end to make money by acquiring and selling land holdings.

According to Lalrinchhanna the Assam Rifles, which were occupying prime lands in Aizawl without any valid permit had already agreed to shift to Beraw Tlang.

On the allegations that private parties were allotted plots of lands inside the Assam Rifles complex, the Minister assured that the present Government would see to it that no Assam Rifles land was allotted to private parties.
