Revised pay for employees in Tripura The Tripura Government has announced revised pay structure for the employees of government aided institutions, State Government undertakings, various corporations, statutory, constitutional and autonomous bodies, cooperative banks and societies and boards in the State. State Finance Minister Badal Chowdhury said that about 10,800 employees of these institutions would be benefited following the revision.An additional amount of Rs. 1.34 crore would be spent every month to give the revised pay to these employees, Mr. Chowdhury said adding the actual benefit would be given to the employees with effect from January 1 this year. Arrears on account of pay and dearness allowance for the period of January 1, 1999, to March 31, 1999, would be impounded in small savings instruments, which would have a locking period. Actual pay benefit on account of pay rise would be allowed in cash with effect from April 1, 1999, Mr. Chowdhury said and added that Tripura would be the first State in the country, which had given revised pay to the employees of public sector undertakings, government aided bodies and other autonomous bodies. |
