Workshop on water crisis The Nagaland Geology and Mining department has organised an interaction-cum-workshop on landslide and ground water problems of Kohima town at Dimapur. The purpose of the workshop was to evaluate and evolve a course of remedial measures and also to examine the possibility of tapping ground water resources to ease the water scarcity in the capital town. Besides, the geo-scientists and technical officers of the Mining department and Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation, experts from the Geological Survey of India and concerned State departments like Soil and Water Conservation, Forest, Roads and Bridges, Public Health Engineering, Town Planning and Urban Development, Department of Geology, Nagaland University and Border Road Task Force participated in the workshop.
