Bhutanese youth helping ULFA

Following the arrest of two Bhutanese nationals Neema and Wargdi, it has come to light that despite a tough stand by the Royal Government against militants taking shelter in its territory, a section of Bhutanese youth are helping the ULFA and Bodo militants.
The Royal Bhutan Army (RBA) has intensified patrolling along the border areas in the country.
The youths were arrested recently while supplying foodstuff to an ULFA camp located at Deothang in Bhutan.
After the arrest, the Royal Bhutan Army is reportedly keeping a strict vigil on the people living along the border.
A section of Bhutanese youths are actively involved in providing foodstuff to the ULFA camps scattered over Deothang, Kalaikhola and Samdrup Jhongkhar. According to sources, after procuring foodstuff from different sources, these are sold to ULFA camps for which youths are given a huge sum of money.

With the arrest of the youths, the Royal Army has started a campaign among the people in Deothang and Samdrup Jhongkhar not to help the militants apprehending that it could lead serious problem in the country, sources added.
The Bhutan Government has already asked the ULFA and NDFB members to vacate their camps immediately as they are fomenting trouble the bordering areas of the country. It is also learnt that the Bhutan Government is also angry with the banned ULFA for demanding a huge fund from the Kurichu Hydel Project.
Though the Bhutanese Government has taken a serious note in view of growing militancy in the country, it is yet to launch a full-scale operation against them..
